MetLife
MetLife is the administer for Northwestern's Long Term Disability (LTD) plans. LTD provides a monthly benefit if you are unable to perform your regular job (during the first two years of your disability) or any reasonable job (after two years of disability) due to illness or injury. During Open Enrollment you may enroll in or waive the 10% LTD Buy-up. If you enroll during Open Enrollment evidence of good health is required to increase the benefit amount. At the time of enrollment, an online form will be provided to complete the evidence of good health for MetLife. MetLife will approve or deny your request and will contact you directly.
