Marc Michio Ellis
Exam Specialist Manager/Student Services Coordinator, Northwestern Pritzker School of Law
Chances are, Marc Michio Ellis is the first person a student at Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law sees as they enter the school.
“I am the go-to person, and I really enjoy the human interaction,” said Ellis, who has been at Northwestern for six years.
He has a varied set of responsibilities in his role and has the opportunity to follow the journey of a law school student over their three years.
“I love the relationship with the law students,” he said. “And I get to see how they grow during their time here.” He especially enjoys the camaraderie of his unit, observing that he feels “so much more at home when I’m in the office.”
Ellis appreciates the University’s diversity.
“I can see faces like mine,” he said, noting the current and previous deans are women. Recently, he used the Northwestern tuition reimbursement benefit to finish his degree. No doubt that experience has made him even closer to the students he loves to support.
