Pharmacy Formulary Updates Coming October 2026
Dear Faculty and Staff,
You are receiving this message because you are enrolled in Northwestern benefits. Please take note that as of October 1, 2026, the CVS Caremark formulary will be updated. Generally, pharmacy formularies are updated throughout the year to reflect new medications, new clinical evidence, or changes in pricing.
The CVS Caremark formulary, reflecting changes effective October 1, 2026, is now available for you to check your medications.
- Key changes include GLP-1 weight-loss formulary updates. Zepbound will be added to the formulary as a preferred drug; Foundayo now will be designated as a preferred drug.
