Through your health plan you have access to Benefits Value Advisors (BVAs)*. BVAs partner with Personal Health Clinicians to help you get the most from your health plan benefits. They can help you get costs for providers and procedures, assist with referrals, schedule appointments, set up pre-authorizations and more.

Personal Health Clinicians
|
Your health plan includes the support of Personal Health Clinicians* with specialized training and clinical experience who are available to help you understand your benefits and navigate the health care system. These clinicians will help you:
- Keep up with doctors’ appointments and other care-related activities
- Review your doctor’s instructions
- Coordinate your care needs after an illness, procedure or surgery

Livongo is a diabetes management program available through Express Scripts. Livongo provides a free smart touchscreen glucose meter and unlimited lancets and test strips - with no copays or out-of-pocket fees! Employees who are enrolled in a Northwestern-sponsored BCBS medical plan, as well as their covered dependents age 18 and older, are eligible to participate in the program.

Wondr is a 10-week, online program that teaches participants how to lose weight and improve their health without giving up their favorite foods. Wondr is based on Eatology™, the study of when, why and how we eat. It teaches common-sense skills to help you lose weight and keep it off in the real world, which not only leads to looking and feeling your best, but also reducing your risk for serious conditions like diabetes and heart disease.

Hinge Health
|
Hinge Health is a coach-led digital program for those suffering with chronic back, knee or hip pain. Hinge Health provides exercise therapy using wearable motion sensors and a free tablet computer for guided exercise therapy. The program includes real-time movement feedback, cognitive behavioral therapy and personalized education materials. You can use it anytime, anywhere. You’ll also have access to a health coach who will motivate you and you help you reach your goals. You and your covered family members will go through a clinical screening to determine eligibility for the program.

Ovia HealthTM
|
If you plan to add to your family, you have help to prepare. Apps from Ovia Health can guide you step-by-step through fertility, pregnancy and parenting. These include Ovia Fertility, Ovia Pregnancy Tracker and Ovia Parenting (download** one or all the apps in iTunesSM or the Google PlaySM store to get started). All programs include in-app support from a registered nurse. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, you’ll also get phone support from a BCBSIL maternity specialist.

With Member Rewards, you can shop for in-network medical care like CT scans, MRIs and more, compare costs and maybe even earn a cash reward. This program is part of your health plan benefits and administered by Sapphire Digital. It is quick and easy to use.
Step 1 Shop online by logging in to bcbsil.com to find a reward-eligible location for your procedure or service.
Step 2 Get the procedure or service at your chosen reward-eligible location.
Step 3 Receive a cash reward by check, which will be mailed directly to your home, after your claim is paid and the location is verified as reward-eligible

Tobacco Cessation Programs |
BCBSIL's tobacco cessation programs consist of methods to help you learn to quit smoking, with one-on-one coaching and innovative lessons developed using the most current academic and medical research. See flyer for more information.
Standard telephonic coaching, and coaching via secured messaging, with unlimited access to a coach throughout a program year. Digital Self-management Program: Consisting of weekly lessons, this online course guides you through the process of quitting tobacco permanently.
